Trusting You Lord

In the midst of this stormy ordeal I know I need to trust you. It seemed as though all came crashing didownwn yesterday. I got to the office @ 6:10 am to see my Managing Director. Unfortunately I was encountered the HR Manager instead who tried to daunt my spirit when she boldly announce that the position she was instructed to seek out for me was not forthcoming. The devil is a liar. I spent the major part of my morning in and out of the bathroom petitioning God, but mainly holding a pity party. You are in total control of my job and my other pressing needs. I will trust you Lord. I will wait on you with earnest expectation. Thank you for coming through for me. Strengthen my faith Lord. If you dont come through for me no one else came. You are my counsellor and comforter. You are my lawyer. I’m making an aooeal to the high court judge, God the Father for a turn around in this situation. Is there anything too hard for you to do? You specialize in the impossible. Thank you for making a way. I believe and receive your promises concerning my life.

I arrived at CPT well before 4pm to await the delivery of the three (3) copies of my magazine.  Mr. Maraj brought a draft for me to peruse before final print.  A few changes were made, but there was one unavoidable casualty.  There were approximately three (3) blank pages that were not accounted for.  I had to make some quick decisions and was a bit disappointed that the page in front of the back cover would remain blank.  Mr. Maraj proceeded to explain what was not made clear initially, the pages must be divisible by four (4) during layout.  Since my magazine had 22 pages and time was of the essence the blank page could not be avoided.  The magazines were delivered and paid for; ready for display on Saturday 12th January 2012.

Between Saturday 5th and Tuesday 8th I worked feverishly to export the project to a pdf file.  This was necessary so as to allow the printers easy access to the document for printing The program download to my computer was not authentic as hence posed numerous problems and unnecessary stress.  After two trip to school and the printers, I was eventually, able to produce to CD copies of the files for print on Thursday 10th January.  Mr. Sunil Maraj of CPT assured me that the magazines would be ready on Friday, and an invoice was sent via email for confirmation on payment.

Layout for the magazine was completed on December 25th 2012, Christmas morning at close to 3 am.  Efforts to contact Caribbean Print Technologies Ltd, the company carded to print the magazine,  proved futile on Friday 4th January the first day of business for 2013.

Met with Mr. Le Platte on Wednesday evening for tutorials.  I was able to present some of my layout work and received some advice on how to proceed. Spoke with Sunil Maraj at Caribbean Printers last week.  The printers will be closed from this week until the first week in Jan 2013.  He also indicated that the magazines could be printed in two days.  I have plans to print three (3) copies of the publication.  I have given myself a deadline of December 29, 2012 to complete layout of the magazine in time for the reopening of the printers.

I was finally able to get transport to Rancho Quemado on Saturday 15 December.  Two reasons for the trek to Rancho: The Rancho Quemado Estates and the mud volcano. And although I was able to get pictures and speak with the Manager of the Estate, Mark Andrews, there was one big disappoint for this trip. The road to the mud volcano was totally overgrown with bush. We were unable to get to the site.

Last Friday 14 December the CDA went beyond the call of duty to accommodate me. Although thry had several tours the day before, I was still able to view some of the sites on the property. Some of thses sites included the Bamboo Cathedral, the route to Edith Falls, the Golf Course, Macaqaripe Beach, Staubles Bay, the Board Walk and Indian Walk Bay. I was also priviledged to have a tour guide with me for the day, Mr. Elwyn ‘Coach’ Francis who provided information on the tours and the history of Chaguaramas,

It is proving difficult to get permission from some of the clients to use their ads.  However so far, the Chaguaramas Development Authority has approved and sent an ad, as well as Caribbean Airlines Limited and EconoCar Rentals. Today I got some not so good news from Le Grand Courlan.  They did not approve the use of their ad in my project. Footprints EcoLodge , CONTACT Magazine and Tourism Development Company are still deliberating.

On Saturday 1st December, I journeyed to Storebay despite the rainy weather to take photographs of Pelican Island, Bon Accord Lagoon, Nylon Pool etc for the project.

Aside

An email was sent to Ms. Ajim requesting 2 additional letters or permission to use client ads in my project.  One for Le Grand Courlan and the other for Footprints Eco Lodge.
